Weekend Classes for Kids

You asked for it: we are now offering new weekend programs!

Pokemon Sundays

Beginners’ Lesson: 12:30PM, $15/class
Advanced Players: 2:30PM, $10/class

Collect them all, and then do battle with them! The Brooklyn Strategist is excited to offer weekly Pokemon play for all ages—both casual play as well as those looking to take a foray into tournament-style matches. Wind down the weekend with adorable animals fighting each other (in a nice way)! We provide decks for beginners. Advanced players should be sure to bring your own deck! Players will receive discounts on pack purchases. 12 seats per session. Simple math skills are important. Spots are first come, first served.

Kids' D&D Guild

The Brooklyn Strategist is excited to start a new Saturday morning Kids D&D Guild! The Guild will meet every Saturday from 9:30am to 12:00pm.

Our first campaign will run January 7, 14, 21, 28.

Our experienced DM’s will take participants on a new adventure each week and enjoy a fun morning of combat and role play with the Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition system.

Both beginning and experienced players 9-14 years old are welcome and we will provide all necessary materials. Participants are allowed and encouraged to bring their own characters from home if they prefer. (Any level? Type?) Consistent (weekly) attendance is encouraged, but not required - each session is a unique experience.

Four sessions: $100 non members/$80 members. Registration at (Eventsmart link'; see below). Walk-ins are permitted as long as there are open seats.

Saturdays, 10AM-12PM

Join us on Saturday mornings for 'Brunchammer' session for our after school students and other youth wargamers. Our after school students and other youth wargamers may come in to build, paint, play and eat cereal! There is no fee for our currently enrolled after school students and $10 for other children to participate in this program. There will be staff to supervise: offering tips and tricks for both the building, painting and gaming side of the hobby. We will set up terrain for independent play with participants' own models. Participants need to bring their own models (no loaners are available).
